I am so in love with my little family. My husband Brandon and I got married in August of 2010 and he is the best friend I could ask for. We met at Bible camp the year before…I was working there and he was playing in chapel every night on the worship team. I saw him the first night and when he walked by I did a quick ring check so I knew there was hope for me and this studly guy. Unfortunately for me, he saw me sitting next to my younger brother and assumed we were married. A few nights later I caught his eye during worship, he dropped his drumstick mid-song, and the rest is history.
Our son Bezalel was born two and a half years after we got married. He is a nonstop ball of fun, energy, and mischief. He is the reason I ever even considered writing because he gives me a ridiculous amount of material to tell people about. His name comes from Genesis 31. Bezalel was the first man in the Bible who was noted as being filled with the Spirit of God and was a craftsman for the temple. He’s the only Bezalel we know, which is perfect because we don’t know anyone like him at all.
Our second little boy Benaiah came 2 years, 2 weeks, and 2 days after Bez. He didn’t look a thing like his big brother, and their personalities are just as different as their looks. He is a sweet little daddy’s boy who loves to wrestle and keeps us on our toes but always has time to stop for a hug and kiss. Benaiah’s name is mentioned several times in the Old Testament and his name means “Yahweh has delivered”. Fortunately for me, both boys do seem to have a little bit of a wild streak which means I rarely sit down during the day and if I do it probably means one of my kids is climbing on my back.
On May 6, 2016, our third little boy, Enoch, was born. We were heartbroken because he was stillborn, but we are filled with joy knowing we will see him again. I’m sure you’ll hear much more about all of the men in my life, but for now you have a little peek into our home.
